A Little Break From Christmas, And A Pink Gem Sneaky Peek!...

Hi all!
Hope it's not too cold and snowy where you are? A little break from all things Christmas today. I have been lucky enough to have a little play with some brand new Spring designs. This little cutie is called 'Ellie & Gingerbread Man', and also a Birthday sentiment, both coming very soon as polymer stamps to Pink Gem Designs.

I have used Promarkers to colour Ellie, which are on special offer at Pink Gem Designs.

The pretty papers are Henbury Lane.

I also used a Martha Stewart border punch,
EK Success pine branch punch, lots of flowers and dew drops.

I will put this card into Passion For Promarkers challenge 'Old & New'
My image is brand new (so new it's not even for sale until later this week!) I have had the MS punch for a good while and my dew drops are a couple of years old.
.
Sorry I've still been really rubbish at visiting you all just lately. It's been completely mad here as usual, and I can't really see it getting any better this side of Christmas!
.

Thanks so much for stopping by and for any comments you're kind enough to leave. I really appreciate it!

Carol Singers (Squiggle Stamps DT Card)...

Hi all! First of I must apologise for being a really bad blogger this week. Sorry I haven't had much time to visit you all. A house full of coughs and colds again, children poorly off school, teachers training day, a bit of Christmas shopping into the mix and now snow!
.
I was hoping to blog my Squiggle Stamps DT card this morning, but when we woke up to a blanket of snow the children were very excited. It's been manic here with wet children running in and out all day, drying off, getting warm only to go out and get wet and cold all over again!
.
So now for some 'me' time at last! For today's creation I have used the very festive 'Carol Singers' digi stamp. Also available as a rubber version here. Coloured with good old Promarkers.
I'm really cracking on with my Christmas cards this year!
.

The papers are Dovecraft.
I have used my Martha Stewart Holly Branch and zig zag punches.
Once finished, I sprayed the whole thing with Crafters Companion gold glitter spray for a bit of festive sparkle
.
I will enter this into 'I Love Promarkers' challenge - anything goes plus sparkle
.

Just a few more days to enter our 'Squiggles & Sparkles' November Challenge HERE. You could win a fantastic £30 voucher, just by showing us your 'sparkly' Squiggles creations!!
.
Well, thanks for stopping by. The girls are sleeping at their Nana's tonight, little man is off to bed in a minute, and big un is playing on his Playstation. So I plan to make full use of this evening and catch up on some DT work.
Hope to put right my lack of visits/commenting soon too.

Storage Idea For Unmounted Stamps!

Hi all! Just thought I'd share this idea with you. If your kids collect Match Attax cards then there's a good chance you have a spare collectors folder knocking around. If you're not familar with these folders, they have lots of clear pages. Each side of each page has 9 individual pouches (about the size of a playing card) so perfect for organising all those unmounted stamps you can never find!

Me and little man spent an afternoon this week sorting them out in the conservatory.

We still have some stamps left to sort, but we'll leave that for another day.
Just thought you mind find it useful!

Fab 'n' Funky Challenge #50 - "Going With The Flow!"

Hi all! Wednesday yet again, so time for our Fab'n'Funky challenge!
.
This week we want you to 'GO WITH THE FLOW'. Simply translated this means, make anything you like!

So I have made a December Birthday card for my Mum (from the kids).
She doesn't 'do' computers so I should be safe blogging it, lol!
.
I used the very cute 'Ellie With Gift', available here as a polymer stamp from Pink Gem Designs.
.
I have used Promarkers to colour, plus Polar white Flower Soft (applied with a glue pen) to add fur detail.
.
I also used the very useful 'Let It Snow' circle digi sentiment, also from Pink Gem Designs, here. It's great as there is a space to add your own date. As you can see, I hand wrote my Mum's Birthday in it. I then inked around the edge, and gave it a spritz of glitter spray before making it into a hanging tag.
.
Other products used;
Go Kreate Pointy frame dies,
Martha Stewart Doily Punch,
X cut snowflake punch,
8x8 card blank, Craftwork Cards,
Dovecraft papers,
Sticky gems,
Organza ribbon,
Silver chain and jump rings,
Computer generated sentiment.
.
I will enter this into;
I love Promarkers...anything goes plus sparkle
.
Before I go I should mention that it's Fab'n'Funky's 1st Birthday next week, and boy, oh boy have we got a PARTY lined up for you . . . prizes galore and loads of yummy inspiration too . . . no RSVP needed . . just join in with the fun!
.
Thanks for stopping by!

Snow Puppy (Squiggle Stamps DT Card)...

Hi all! Phew!...have been trying to do this post all day. But the kids have been hogging the pc.
Time for my weekly Squiggle Stamps DT project.
.
Today I am using this adorable 'Snow Puppy' image coming soon to Squiggle Stamps.
.
I have coloured the image with Promakers, sprayed it with Crafter's Companion gold glitter spray, and added Polar White Flower Soft as the snow.
I also used the glitter spray to bling up my paper poinsettia from my stash. I think they are Prima, and have been searching for some more, to no avail :-(
If anyone knows where I can get some of these, or any similar paper poinsettia I would love you to give me a shout :-)
.
My card today is an 8x8 whopper. So perfect for me to use my 'Go Kreate' pointy frame dies. They are a fantastic size, the largest die in this set being 6x6!
.
The papers are 'Hot Off The Press' which I have had for ages.
.

This card is being entered into;

My Partner In Crafting Crime....maker madness

ABC Christmas...X for Xmas plus flowers

Bee Crafty......all that glitters

My card also fits our Squiggle Stamps monthly challenge, 'Squiggles & Sparkles'.

Fab 'n' Funky Challenge #49 - Forget me not!...

Hi all!
I thought I'd better quickly do a post about this weeks Fab'n'Funky challenge while I have five minutes.

This weeks challenge is called........."Forget me not"
We would like you to rummage through your crafting stash and use a long forgotten stamp or alternatively look through your computer hard drive and use a long forgotten digi image. We are all guilty of neglecting areas of our stash and now is the time to get these poor images out, give them a dusting off and let them out into the daylight this week.

So for my DT sample, I just had to use my ''Frosty'' stamp, who has been neglected for some time (probably about 2 years!!)gathering dust on my shelf, along with his friends Santa & Rudolph. I'll try and give them an outing sometime soon aswell. The trio are by ''Hampton Arts''.

Frosty is very simple to colour. After inking him up in black Memento, I used Promarkers; Dusky Rose, Cardinal, Crimson & Ice Grey1 to colour. Then I spritzed him in Crafters Companion Iridescent glitter varnish for a bit of sparkle!

I then framed him using Spellbinders scalloped frame dies.

For my snowflake I used Spellbinders Create a Flake dies (on special offer at Pink Gem Designs).
The flourish is a Sizzix die by Basic Grey.

I also used my Martha Stewart zig zag punch,
Dp, card blank & sentiment were from Craftwork Cards.
Cardstock is gorgeous Bazzill Bling.

Challenges I am entering into;
I Love Promarkers #41....snowmen
The Crafty Pad....Christmas sparkle
Sweet Stampin...snowflakes
Oldie But A Goodie....glitter
(I have used a glitter brad, glitter ribbon and Crafters Companion glitter spray on the image, just wish the photo did it justice, lol)

Thanks so much for looking :-)
Back later to catch up on some commenting......

Sophie was coloured using my Promarkers.
.
I just love these Dovecraft 'Let It Snow' papers, and thought they would work nicely with this image.
.
I also used some gorgeous Bazzill Bling cardstock,
Nestabilities Labels 4,
Snowflake embossing folder,
Organza ribbon & a little pearl buckle
.

I will enter this into Creative Inspirations for ''Christmas & Winter''

Crazy4 Challenges for ''Christmas''

Ellephantastic for ''Christmas''

Crafty Calender Challenge for ''Snowflakes''(my embossing folder)

Sweet Stampin for ''snowflakes'' (again, I have used a snowflake embossing folder')

Alf & Beer (DigiStamp Boutique DT Card)...

Hi all. Hope you're having a good start to the week?..
.
A little DT creation to share with you today using the fabulous 'Alf & Beer' digi available here from DigiStamp Boutique.
.
I 'out of the boxed' him onto Nestabilities labels 2, and coloured him with Promarkers. If you are not familiar with the 'out of the box' technique, I did a little tutorial a while back. You can find it here.

The papers are DCWV 'Green' stack.

I also added a Craftwork Cards sentiment, and some fun little bottle top alphabets to spell 'Dad'.

I bought a couple of packs of these a good while back and this is the first time I've used them. I was horrified that between the two packs there was only one letter 'D'!
So I had to improvise by changing an 'I' to a 'D' with a black Promarker. Can you tell, lol?

I will put this into Moving Along with The Times challenge #71....''nice & bright''
.
Thanks so much for looking. I will be (hopefully) back later to catch up with you all.

Let It Snow!...Squiggle Stamps DT Card plus Fab'n'Funky!

Hi everyone. Sorry for my lack of posts and comments this week. It's been totally mad here in the house of Inky Hands.

.Time for my Squiggle Stamps DT creation. Another Christmas card from me today using the really cute 'Heart Warming Miss Evie' rubber stamp, also available as a digi right here.

I used Promarkers to colour Miss Evie.

The circle dies are a mixture of Nestabilities and Go Kreate Large Frames. I have only recently discovered the Go Kreate dies, and I love them as they are so much bigger than Nesties.

I also used a Sizzix Sizzlits sentiment die.

The dp's are My Mind's Eye. I just love these MME 'Colourful Christmas' papers. I think they are such gorgeous colours.

.My card fits this months Squiggles challenge, 'Squiggles & Sparkles'. We want to see your cards featuring a Squiggle image plus plenty of sparkle....the more the better. You really would be mad not to enter. You could be the winner of a £30 voucher! Digis start at just 99p. Think how many images £30 could get you.

This card is also my very late (sorry to my other teamies!) DT card for Fab'n'Funky. Our challenge this week is...
''Going Around In Circles''.

Thanks for looking! I hope to catch up on some blog hopping myself tonight!

The Perfect Man!!...

Hi all! I super quick post from me, as I grab 5 mins to myself. Got hubby home from work this week, and so a hectic week catching up with jobs we have been putting off. I actually made this a few days ago.

Meet 'Ginger' the perfect man don't you think? He is currently a FREE digi kindly up for grabs on Janet's blog (aka Pink Gem Designs).
.
I simply paper pieced him by printing several times onto plain, kraft, and gingham papers (Pink Petticoat downloads).
.
I just had to use the fabulous Elzybells sentiment stamp below...just perfect!

I also used an elegance card blank and card candy from Craftwork Cards, MS embossed scallop punch and a swirl embossing folder.

Must dash, thanks for looking, catch you later!

A Gem Of A Challenge 10...Christine's Sketch!....

Hi everyone!
A scheduled post from me today to tell you about this month's
.
This month is hosted by the lovely Christine who has given us the brilliant sketch below to use, plus optional extra of.....
'A Christmas card in non traditional colours.......not red or green'
.
I have used the very cute 'Penguin With Gift' available at Pink Gem Designs.
I coloured him with Promarkers and added snow detail with Polar White Flower Soft, plus self adhesive gems.
.
It's the first time I tried out my Flower Soft, although I've had it for ages. I applied it with a Quickie glue pen. I must say, love the effect! Now to try out my other colours!
.

The DP's are old Hot Off The Press ones from my stash.
The holly was hand cut and then I shaped it with an embossing tool. I added Card Candy for the berries.
.

I also used my Martha Stewart zig zag punch, organza ribbon, raffia lace, and a plastic tag.

Hope you will join us this month, and have a go at the challenge!
.
Sorry I have been a really rubbish blogger lately. We had a house of illness last week, and now hubby has a week off work, the last one until January!
So we are doing some jobs around the house plus Christmas shopping.
.
I hope I'll have some time to leave you some comments soon, and maybe some time to actually make something!! Thankfully in an attempt to be organised, I made this card 2 weeks ago.
.
I'm going to try and sort out some candy really soon to make up for it, so watch this space!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
Jenny xx

You're Wonderful!..

Hi everyone!
Thank you all for your get well wishes. I hope I am on the mend now, I still have a bit of a chesty cough though.
.
I haven't made anything really this week with the kids being poorly, then me catching it (my fault for having four kids, lol! ) But thankfully I had a crafty day last Saturday and made some DT projects to get ahead of things. This is one of the cards I made using a new release over at DigiStamp Boutique, 'Valentine Zoe', who is also included in one of the monthly offers.
.
I coloured the cute image with Promarkers and added a bit of Stickles to the balloon The papers are Pink Petticoat. I also used my heart nesties and heart lace MS punch.
The sentiment is a stamp that I've had for years.

Thanks for looking:-) I'm off to do some commenting now after I've made another cuppa!

Fab n Funky Challenge #47 - Colourific Challenge

Hi all. I'll make this short and sweet as I feel really rubbish today with this cough/cold thingy. My head and body are aching and everything.
.
Just need to tell you we have a new challenge for you over at Fab n Funky today.

This weeks challenge is yet another idea chosen by you (again from the poll we conducted) and it is a colour challenge which we have taken from the photo below....

"kraft, lime & pink"

Or alternatively just take inspiration from the contemporary Christmas wreath.

So for my card I have used Bazzill kraft & Pink Petticoat papers.

The sweet image is a SoftPencil digi (our sponsor this week), and I coloured it with Promarkers.

I'm off to make a cup of tea now. Thanks for stopping by...I'll be back later if I feel a bit better.
