The Sugar Bowl Challenge...

Evening all!
Just quickly uploading my entry for the Sugar Bowl Challenge.
A fab sketch by Maria to follow this time, and the option of using purple & green.

I have used my lovely 'Hope' digi from Funky Kits, and used Copics to colour.

Other products used;

The lovely sentiment is a Pink Gem Designs stamp.
Papers are Basic Grey 'Sugared'
Cheery Lynn Doily die,
Seam binding,
pearls,
ric-rac,
Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.

I really like this Cheery Lynn doily die, but it's very difficult to get a good cut in my Wizard. Any tips are welcome please! I have used flowers to cover the areas where it didn't cut too well.

Enjoy the rest of your evenings.
Thanks for stopping by!

A Gem Of A Challenge 12...Debby's Sketch!....

Hi all! Have you missed me over Christmas?...lol! I've missed crafting and blogging....and of course visiting your blogs!

Well I'm back now to tell you about our new challenge over at A Gem Of A Challenge. A super sketch by Debby for you to follow this time;

....and look and the fab prize we have up for grabs generously offered by Letraset!

Did you know we are now going from monthly to fortnightly, and have exciting things planned to celebrate A Gem Of A Challenges 1st Birthday in a few weeks.

For my DT creation, I have used the very cute 'Andy With Snail' available as a polymer stamp from Pink Gem Designs. The matching sentiment is also from Pink Gem Designs and you can grab it here.

To colour the image I used my beloved Copics, which I have been neglecting just lately in favour of Promarkers. But I really do love my Copics, and will make a point of using them a lot more this year. I also hear a rumour that there will be new colours released this year in the Copic Ciao range?

The papers are Basic Grey Max'n'Whiskers.
I also used a Craft Concepts Starry Night embossing folder.
Potters Clay Memento ink (to ink edges)
Ribbon, raffia, charms.
I printed the name 'Ben' from my pc.
.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you join us at A Gem Of A Challenge!

All Done!...

I'm back, and phew, all done now! This card is for my eldest Daughter.

I have used the adorable Chloe & Xmas Tree from DigiStamp Boutique.
I printed her twice. First onto cream card, and again onto smooth white card.
I used an embossing folder to add snow texture to the cream card. I then coloured in the image printed onto the white card with Promarkers. I then decoupaged it onto the cream card.

The gorgeous papers are Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses.
As with my earlier card, I used my Spellbinders Fancy Tag dies to cut out my PC generated sentiment.

I must dash off now as lots to do! Many thanks for stopping by.
I wish you all a really, really......

Wonderful Christmas!

Why I Love This Stamp...

Hi all! Hope you are all well?
Today's card is a card I made just because I felt like it.
It fits the following challenges though;
papertake weekly Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed & Something Blue (I used blue)
Allsorts challenge. Primary Colours
Just cute bears for a 'bear plus someone else'.
.
This has to be my all time time favourite Sugar Nellie stamp. I could make card after card with it and never get bored. It's called 'Worried', is by Kathy Hare, and can be found here at Funky Kits.
.
Just look at this pair! How adorable! I have used Promarkers, chalk and Memento inks to colour them.
If you are after some Promarkers, Janet at Pink Gem Designs has a fabulous offer of 10% off the full range at the moment!

The gorgeous papers are Basic Grey 'Oliver'. I love it when I find 'male' papers that I actually like!

I have also used;

Martha Stewart zig zag punch,
Crafts Too stars embossing folder (though most of the embossing is now hidden beneath ribbon and flowers!),
Nestabilities Labels 1,
Papermania Relations stamps,
Ribbons, flowers, buttons, twine, charm.

Now I'll show you just why I love this stamp so much.....

.....because it reminds me of my youngest son Ben!

Papertake Weekly GDT Card...

Hi all!
Phew, it's gone 7pm and the weather is still scorching here! It's nice, but I just can't get on with anything. How long will it last I wonder?..
Anyway, here is my GDT card for this weeks challenge over at Papertake Weekly. This week is a sketch challenge. Please pop over and check it out, there are fab prizes to be had as always!
I just had to use my new Sugar Nellie stamp called 'Worried' from Funky Kits, by artist Kathy Hare. I just love this stamp because it looks just like my 2 year old Ben cuddling his teddy!
I used Nestabilities Lables 3 to cut him out. I 'out of the boxed' his head and teddy's foot. Then whilst still in the die I used my finger dauber and umber, aqua and blue pigment inks to colour the background.
I used my Promarkers to colour the image.

The papers are a mixture of DCWV Linen Closet & Basic Grey Kraft.
I also used;
EK Success Ivy Punch,
Buttons,
Twine.
Free digi sentiment from The Creative Cottage. (printed out onto linen paper and coloured again with the pigment inks)

I have found a few challenges to enter this card into;

One Stop Craft Challenge - one for the boys

Creative Inspirations - one for the boys

Crafty Cardmakers - cards for men

Fab'n'Funky - Just For Dad
