Jada With Bauble & A Gem Of A Challenge 54...

Hi all. I just wanted to share a make I posted over on the Pink Gem Designs Inspiration Blog a couple of days ago. Sorry I'm so late posting it here but I just haven't had time to come online. I've been busy, busy out & about picking up a few last minute bits of school uniform, and getting ready for the kids starting back next week.

I've been having a little play with one of the new digis over at Pink Gem Designs. She's called Jada With Baubles...isn't she fab?

I coloured her using my Copics. 

I haven't had much practise at colouring ethnic skin tones before, but the colours I ended up using were;

E31, E33, E35, E37 & a touch of E59 in the darkest areas. 

I used R11, R14 & R17 for cheeks & lips.

For her hair I used;

E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47 & E49

A Monster Birthday!...

Hi all! I'm back from my break away from blogging. I feel better now we've managed to do the bulk of the decorating so hopefully a bit of time for me now, and guilt free!

Hope you're enjoying the long Jubilee weekend here in the UK.

I was up very early today and managed to squeeze in a little crafty time to finish off a couple of cards. I managed to finish this DT card for DigiStamp Boutique using one of the latest sets called Monster Birthday. Love them...such fun!...

A Gem Of A Challenge & CES Challenges Sad Farewell :-(

Hi all...hope you're all well? I'm still mostly AWOL from blogland, taking a break to do some much needed DIY jobs around the house. We are in the process of decorating the bedroom that my girls share, making it all grown up for them....and also the living room at the same time. We need to get all the living room decorating complete by Wednesday latest, as we have a large black leather corner suite being delivered on Thursday. I think it will suit our large family better that the 3 piece suit we currently have (which I can't wait to see the back end of!). It's all been done in dribs and drabs so far, but hubby has some time off after this week so we can really get stuck in. I also want to paint the kitchen, downstairs loo and bathroom. I think once you start it shows up the other rooms doesn't it?..

So I won't be back in full blogging swing for a little while, and I'm being a really bad girl not having time to leave comments sorry! But I'll still be here with the odd DT commitment such as today's card, and I truly appreciate you taking time to pop over and see them :-)

Ooops, A Little Late ~ 'A Gem Of A Challenge'....

Hi all! Long time no blog. Apologies, but we're a very busy house here at the moment. We decided to start decorating several rooms at once, get some new furniture and also have a bit of a move around. Four children create so much clutter and I can't abide it, but on the other hand I'm not very ruthless when it comes to 'getting rid'. So some practical storage solutions are the answer. I hope you all stick with me over the next few weeks as comments and posts will be few and far between I'm afraid. I can't wait until we're all straight and I get stuck in with some serious crafting again.

Hi all. Hope you had a good Easter? The school hols have flown by. The weather could have been a bit better but it was just nice not having the usual mad mornings/school runs, and being able to lounge in PJ's!

A Gem Of A Challenge & CES Challenges...

  Hello lovely bloggers. Missed you lots while I've been AWOL. My Mum was in hospital as you know, and was still unwell once back at home. So everything else has had to take a back burner. This week I've been busy catching up around the house, and so hopefully can now get back into blogging/crafting again.

Without further ado, here's my DT card for A GEM OF A CHALLENGE, where Katie has chosen our theme of

'Perfect Pastels'

Today I 'cheated' and used a pre coloured image from Pink Gem Designs. When you buy digis from PGD you always get a pre coloured version as well as the black outline files, handy for those quick makes. This one is called 'Flower Power Emma'.

I also used these gorgeous brand new digi papers ' Distressed Hearts'  just launched on the website. I think these will be a firm fave of mine!

This is also my DT card for CES CHALLENGES, where our theme is

'Flower Frenzy'

 Hi everyone. Many thanks for the get well wishes for my Mum. She's still in hospital, and the docs are still not sure exactly what's wrong with her, but thankfully the intravenous antibiotics seem to be working as she's showing some improvement. Here's hoping she's back home with us soon!
