The Sugar Bowl Challenge 96 (and a new arrival!)...

Hi all. Sorry it's been a while again since my last post, but been a little busy this week having cuddles with my new baby Niece, Phoebe (as you can see from the pic above).
My Sister ended up having her on Sunday....Remembrance Day.

And here's another pic....just because she's soooo pretty!...

So, back to business....my DT card for The Sugar Bowl.
This time a very pretty sketch to follow by our lovely Maria, with an optional theme of "Sparkle & Shine!'"
Please pop over to the challenge blog for full details and to see what my talented teamies have been up to. As always, 4 Sugar Nellie stamps up for grabs for the lucky winner.

I decided to ink up one of my Simply Sassy stamps. Lots to choose from over at Funky Kits., and many now also available in digital format.

I coloured her with my Copics.

The papers are First Edition "Family Ties".

The fab sentiment is from one of the very useful "Simply Birthday Greetings A4 sheets",  now available at DigiStamp Boutique. I used the 'female' version today, but a 'male' version is also available.

Back hopefully soon with some DigiStamp Boutique Christmas makes. In the meantime though please check out all the latest arrivals new to the store HERE.

Thanks so much for popping by!

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 91 ~ Fi's Sketch...

Hi all! Hope you're having a good week.
So, time for a new challenge over at The Sugar Bowl.
This time Fiona has a fab sketch for us to follow, and an optional theme;
"Shabby Chic!"

I've been having a play with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers. I stamped this ever so sweet 'Bad Hare Day' Simply Sassy  stamp onto Papermill hessian textured card, and used the markers and some of my Distress Ink Pads to watercolour her. White highlights were added with the Picket Fence marker.

Other Ingredients,
Go Kreate Dies,
Papers -My Minds Eye Dolled Up & Bazzill Avalon,
Craftwork Crads Card Blank,
Kraft Card,
Memory Box Corner Bow Die (I have chopped up and put behind the flowers),
Lili Of The Valley Banner Sentiments,
Lace,
Twine,
Wooden Button,
Blooms (the lovely daisy one is from one of those £1 packs @ The Works)
Pearls,
Stardust Stickles,
White Acrylic Paint.

I applied the white paint to the blooms & wooden button. I also smeared a bit more here and there for a 'shabby chic' effect. I used my fingers to apply and got really messy lol!

Hope you'll join us this time. Please check out the rest of the DT's gorgeous makes. A fab prize of 4 Sugar Nellie stamps up for grabs for the winner (this will increase to 6 if entries exceed 100!)

Hope this posts ok as I've scheduled it.
Now the children are back at school I'm catching up with jobs around the home. Once finished, I should have a bit more time to visit your blogs at last. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Oooh I'm naughty. Bet you didn't expect to see me again any time soon? Should be working through my check list and checking all is packed and done....but then I remembered to blog this, my entry for The Sugar Bowl. A fab sketch by Marlena and a theme of 'One For The Girls'.

I just had to ink up this fabulous Sassy stamp 'Team Spirit' again (love her!). As always, this Sugar Nellie can be purchased at Funky Kits.

I loved colouring her with my Copics.

On The Edge card blank, also from Emma's Store,

Other ribbon & raffia lace from stash,

Oh forgot to mention last week, it was mine & hubby's 10th Wedding Anniversary on Thursday....though we've been together for almost twice that long. I am so awful I didn't get time to make him a card! Infact we didn't do anything special at all, but we will hopefully be making up for it on holiday.

Right I'll say my goodbye's (again!), and I'll be here with a scheduled post for you on Tuesday (something a bit exciting happening!). Then back in the flesh in a week or so!

Hippie Love...

Hi all. a bit unusual for me to post on Sunday's these days, but had a little crafty time today and so here are the results.

I've used this fab 'Hippie Love' Simply Sassy stamp from Funky Kits. I've been dying to ink her up for ages!
I used my Copics, Copic Spica glitter pens & Stickles to colour her.

I started this card with the intention of following the theme of 'blue' and fab sketch over at the Sugar Bowl.
But got totally carried away, added LOTS of colours and kept adding bits....so can't enter it lol!

Other Ingredients;
'Walk In The Park' Echo Park papers,
'On The Edge' card blank,
Dew Drops
(all above from Crafty Emma's Store)
Flowers from stash,
Nesties (lots in stock at Pink Gem Designs),
Grosgrain ribbon (which I have plaited)
Bull dog clip,
Craftwork cards sentiment,
Prima pebble,
White corrugated card (from Paper2Go

I find corrugated card a bit expensive but I do love it! So was delighted when Janet (Pink Gem Designs) released a new digital paper kit yesterday called 'Corrugated Effect'. A much cheaper option at just £1.95. I have used the real thing on today's card but you can take a peek at the digital alternative HERE over at Pink Gem Designs.

Thanks so much for peeking. Enjoy the rest of your evenings.

CES Challenge #38 ~ Embossing...

Hi again....I'm back! Just need to share my DT card with you for CES Challenges.
Our theme this week is EMBOSSING.
So you could heat emboss, dry emboss....as long as there is embossing on your creation.
Well worth entering...there's a £10 voucher for the winner to spend in Emma's fab store!

I have used this new Sugar Nellie Sassy stamp from Funky Kits.
She's called 'Missing You'...isn't she sweet?
I coloured her using Coipcs, glitter Spica Copics, white gel pen. I stamped her in brown, but used a black fine liner to make her huge eyes stand out.

I also used the sketch from THE SUGAR BOWL challenge, so will enter into that.

What do you think of these fancy pins?? Well I made them myself. I'm quite pleased with the results. The plain head pins are dirt cheap on ebay (about 99p for 100). I simply used beads, bead caps, extra tacky glue and cocktail stick. Simple!

From Crafty Emma's store I used;
Prima papers - Sweet Fairy,
Classic Square nesties,
Scalloped card blank.
There is a huge SALE on at the moment...so well worth a mooch!

I also used;
Blossom Nesties,
Leone Em evergreen punch,
Embossing folders,
Dusty Concord distress ink,
Lace.

Hope you'll join us this time...can't wait to see your embossing!
*****************
Please scroll down for this morning's post to tell you about the latest A GEM OF A CHALLENGE....and don't forget PINK GEM DESIGNS has a huge 25% off stamps and all digi stamps/papers this bank holiday weekend!

Back tonight to catch up with your blogs. Thanks so much for stopping by!
