Spring Birthdays! (Sweet Sketch Wedsnesday Bunny Hop Challenge Card)

Tomorrow is my dear old Nans Birthday. The day after is my Aunties. So many Spring Birthdays, and as usual I have left the cards until the last minute. So today was spent making these two almost identical cards.

I decided to use this lovely 'Coco and roses' digi stamp available here;

I have used the latest sketch from http://sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.com/ and plan to enter it into the blog hop sketch challenge over there.

I have used an 8x8 card blank from Craftwork Cards. I love this card size, and digis are great as you can resize them to fit! The papers are the new Rose Garden designs from Papermania. I have used Spellbinders scalloped Framabilities die, Cuddly Buddly sentiment stamp, sticky ribbon, & Copics to colour.

For the 'Auntie' sentment, I again used the Cuddly Buddly Grandma stamp (as above) but just inked up the outer bits with a Whispers pen so that it did not stamp the word 'Grandma'. I simply wrote the Auntie bit in afterwards with the Whispers pen. I think Cuddly Buddly do one of these that says 'Aunt' , but I haven't got it.

Thanks for looking x

Another Day, Another Digi!

Another day, another digi image from me today.

She is called Sophie, and can be found here.

I was also able to use my Marianne flower ribbon die, now that my Wizard is all better after getting a new handle. I managed to get hold of this set here.

I love ribbon so these dies are my idea of heaven. They've given me an excuse to buy more ribbon!!

The dotty paper is from Pink Petticoat, which I have also used to paper piece her dress. I have also used brown kraft card (I love this), Copics, black gems, X cut scallop punch and sticky ribbon.

I am so tired as my youngest was sick in the night all over the bed. I was doing the washing at 3 o'clock this morning, so I'm off for a rest now.

Thanks for looking :-)

I think I'm addicted to digi stamps!

I just can't stop using digis at the moment. I love how you can resize them. I am using a lot of 8x8 card blanks at the moment, and the fact that you can resize digis is great for this. Many rubber stamps seem too small to use on larger cards. I print them out for my kids to colour too - they love it! Saying that, I wouldn't give my rubber stamps up for anything!

This image is called 1st Snow and can be found here; http://karensdoodles.blogspot.com/. I've had it a little while but have only just made one up into a card. I have used Copics on the image, lots of Stickles and a fine mist of Crafter's Companion Spary Varnish. Papers are DCWV. The 8x8 card blanks are from Craftwork cards. I have also added faux stitching with my Signo white gel pen, the best white gel pen on the market in my opinion!

Thanks for looking! x

Mothers Day Madness!

This was a very last minute Mothers day make for my Mother In law. I had planned to use my new Marianne Design Butterfly dies and DCWV Mariposa stack to produce 2 magnificent Mothers day cards on Saturday. However, my Wizard machine does not like the Marianne dies at all (long story), so they will probably be returned unless I can come up with a solution.
So after a wasted Saturday huffing, puffing & battling with my Wizard. I quickly made this card using other bits from my stash.
I got the paper butterfly a while ago from here; http://www.sarahscardsltd.com/shop/213/1122/index.htm
I also used my Crafts Too butterfly embossing folder, faux flat back pearls, Spellbinders ribbon tag die and various papers.
Luckily I had a suitable alternative already made up for my own Mum.
I must learn not to always leave things until the last minute!
Thanks for looking xx
