Lovely Grace...

Hi all!
Many thanks for your concern about my toothache. I was on on the pain killers over the weekend, plucking up the courage to phone the dentists this morning. But I got up this morning and the pain had diminished to just a slight twinge. I know It'll come back, and I'll regret it when it does, but that was enough to stop me phoning the dreaded dentist...the big baby that that I am!
We have a long overdue check up in a months time, so I'm hoping I can last until then. I don't mind check ups if I know it's just a scale & polish jobby...but the minute that drill comes out...gulp! Give me childbirth over the dentist any day!

Anyway, on to my card. I have used the lovely Grace (Sugar Nellie), a real joy to colour with my Copics.
I mounted her onto shapes cut with my Nestabilities Labels 10. The gorgeous paper is Prima Botanical.

Other ingredients;

Marianne Design leafy die & heart die,
Metal filigree corners (ebay),
Gold Cosmic Shimmer,
Self Adhesive lace,
Flat backed pearls,
Paper roses.

I will be popping this card onto EBAY shortly.

I am also entering this card into;
Bunny Zoe's challenge......flowers everywhere

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a great evening!

Sunny Flower Girl ~ Squiggle Stamps DT Card....

Hi all! Time for my regular Squiggle Stamps DT card. I felt like making something cheery to remind us that Spring is just around the corner. I decided to use the lovely 'Sunny Flower Girl', avaialbe in both rubber and digi format HERE.

I used Copics to colour .

The pretty papers are Pink Petticoat.

Excuse me for making this a short post today, but I am suffering with toothache. It came on late last night. My filling fell out a few months ago, and I have been putting off going to the dentists since, as it's my least favourite place to be. But looks like I'll have to phone them on Monday. Oh well!..

Have a lovely weekend!...

Happy 30th....

Hi all! So sorry, I still haven't had chance to catch up with everyone yet this weekend. Ended up going to a surprise 30th Birthday bash last night.
Here is the card I made for said person. Do you think it's OK for a bloke?...oh well, too late now!

I have used one of my many Forever Friends stamps...which are very neglected in the inking department. I should use them more!
I stamped onto Papermania textured Vanilla Capsule card, and coloured with Copics.
As you can see, I decoupaged his balloon, and stamped '30' onto it using an old Whispers alphabet set.
The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment stamp is from a Clare Curd set.

The gorgeous spotty paper is Papermania Clare Curd range.
The rest of the card stock used is Core'dinations.
I also used my X-Cut scalloped border and star punches,
some Capsule collection spotty buttons and a length of Anitas sticky ribbon to finish.

Have a great day today whatever you're up to. I hope to finish a couple of cards....fingers crossed! Children have a knack of changing your plans for you though, don't they?
Then I'll be back tonight to finally try and catch up with my commenting.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fab'n'Funky Challenge #60 - Make your own!

Hi all!
Wednesday again already?!..so time for a new challenge over at Fab'n'Funky! This week we would like you to;

"Make your own!"

What we would like you to do, is make your own embellishments. Now that can be with wire and beads, or gather ribbon to make a fancy flower, use felt or material, use ribbon strips to make a flower, make your own paper buttons or layer simple shapes to make an embellishment. It's a chance to have some fun and get creative!

This week we are very lucky to be sponsored by "Di's Digi downloads".
Myself and the rest of the DT have been having a play with some of these fab images, and this is what I came up with.
I coloured my image using Copics.

For my home made embellishment I made a flower from gold vellum and brown paper. I die cut lots of scallops, scrunched them, and sprayed them with 'Plum Pudding Shimmer Spritz'. I attached a brad through all the layers and shaped into a scrunchy flower.

Other items used;

Basic Grey 'Sultry' paper,
Marianne D dies - garden branch & ribbon border,
Whimsy ticket sentiment

I will also enter this into SIMON SAYS STAMP challenge - make your own embellishment

Bye for now, thanks for stopping by!....

Paper Pieced Daisy - Squiggle Stamps DT Card...

Hi all! Time for my regular Squiggle Stamps DT card.
Today I share " Daisy With Balloon" with you. I have used the stamp version, but all you digi fans can find her here .
I do love instant digi gratification, but real stamps are so useful for certain techniques...such as my paper piecing today. I simply used scraps from my scrap box and stamped straight onto them...I think they are Imaginisce papers.

The rest of Daisy was coloured with Copics, and I also did a bit of doodling around the Nellie's die cut frame. I added Stickles to her balloon. The butterfly was punched out with my Martha Stewart punch.

The card blank it's self is a Craftwork cards Elegance one.
I finished off with some paper flowers, and a length of black organza threaded through a ribbon slider.

Thanks for stopping by today and for any comments you might leave, especially as I haven't had time to do much blog hopping myself lately. I'm sure I'll catch up eventually.
I've been busy trying to have a bit of a sort out of my crafty stash, and will very slowly be listing some of it onto my ebay, here.
Bye for now!
