Summer Fun! (DigiStamp Boutique DT Card)...

Hi all!
If you have little ones enjoying school hols at the moment like me, hope you're coping!
My little gang say they're bored already! But it has been raining all day here. Here's hoping for some decent weather!
So on to today's creation. This is 'Alfie Summer fun' from the DigiStamp Boutique.
I have coloured him with Promarkers.
The lovely papers and most of the embellishments are from a DCWV kit that I've had for ages!
The paper flowers were from Sarah's Cards, and the raffia is by Papermania.

Thanks for looking, and for any comments you might leave. I really appreciate it! I'm going to try and make another card now before bed (if I can stay awake!)
Bye for now!

Have A Monster Birthday!...

Hi all...hope your weekend is good! Day one of the school holiday's and the kids are driving me loopy already!
It's Saturday, so that means I have a Squiggle Stamps creation for you, and my regular post on the Squiggles blog. Today's Squiggle creation features the very cute and comical 'Monster Boy'. You can find him in rubber here, or if you prefer digi format, here. There's a 15% discount off all products this weekend too!

I coloured him with Promarkers, and added Stickles to the balloon. The papers are Abbey Road Stomp - Caveman Stripes. I added a bit of dimension by putting loads of foam pads under the centre of the image only.
I also used my Martha Stewart zig-zag punch, Cuttlebug folder, Nestabilities and card candy.

I will put this into the Allsorts challege....something for a child

Well, thanks for peeking at my creation today. I'll be back later (hopefully!) to finally catch up with commenting on all your wonderful blogs. There's just not enough hours in the day!

Snow Baby!...

Hi all!
Today's card features sneaky peek of a brand new Pink Gem Designs stamp. First of all though,I would like to thank Tina & Lindsey for the lovely Birthday cards you sent me. They really are gorgeous! Thanks too for all the lovely Birthday Wishes over on DoCrafts & here. I haven't done anything exciting today for my Birthday, but all being well, we are off to Drayton Manor/Thomas Land next week. So that should be fun!
Well, on to my card. Meet 'Snow Baby', a brand new polymer stamp release over at Pink Gem Designs. These will go on sale at some point this evening. You can find all of the latest releases here.
I coloured him with Promarkers, and then really went to town with the bling. I added gems, Stickles and Crafters Companion glitter spray.
The base of the card is a sheet of A4 textured kraft card folded to make an A5 card. Then I randomly stamped snowflakes (from a See D's set) using white pigment ink.

The red spotty paper is from the 'Forever Friends Santa's On His Way' pad.

I made the snowflake using Spellbinders Create a Flake dies , a spotty brad & twine. Then spritzed it with the CC glitter spray.

I will enter this card into the following challenges;

I Love Promarkers for buttons
Charisma Cardz for Anything But Square

If anyone knows of any Christmas challenges I could enter this into, I would love to know!

I hope you like my card today. Thanks so much for peeking!

Life's A Beach! (Fab 'n' Funky DT Card)

Hi all! First of all I would like to say thanks for all the comments on yesterday's card. I really appreciate it thanks! Hopefully I have got around to most of you this week. I hope to catch up with the rest of you by the weekend.
Right, I will try and be quick as I am going to clean the car out in a minute. My mum has little man today, as I am off to the school this afternoon for a presentation. My eldest daughter will be awarded a prize. So I have a free couple of hours this morning. I thought shall I make a card or clean the car out? Though the first option is much more appealing, I suppose I'd better do the latter. It's a job long over due!
So it's Wednesday, and a brand new challenge over at FAB 'N' FUNKY!
This weeks theme is Reuse or Recycle!
We are sponsored this week by Digital Delights
and we were lucky enough to get some lovely images to play with. I chose these cuties. I have used Promarkers to colour them.
The recycled bits of my card are the 'kraft' card which is actually the reverse side of a tea bag box. Also some of the fish & shell beads were salvaged from my daughters beading set.
The Pink Petticoat cloud paper was an off cut from my scraps box.
The sentiment I have had for ages. It was a sticker that I've mounted onto card and cut out.

I will enter this in to;
THE SECRET CRAFTER for summer holidays
PAPERTAKE WEEKLY for cutie patootie
Please pop over and join in our Fab'n'Funky challenge if you can.
Now I'd better move and get on!
Thanks for popping by!

Thinking Of You...

Hi all! Today I have had a chance to play with another of my lovely Papermania Nostalgia stamps by John Byars. This one is called 'Rainy Day'.

Today I stamped onto DCWV linen textured card with Rich Cocoa Memento ink. I coloured her with my Promarkers. I usually use Rymans smooth card with my Promarkers, but I wanted a canvas look for a change. The only difference is that the card was was much more absorbent than the Rymans, and the Promarker colours end up darker, so I used really pale shades. I added Rock Candy Stickles to the rain puddle and umbrella for a wet look. The pictures don't pick it up too well though.

The papers were just scraps from my scrap box. I think they are DCWV and Pink Petticoat.
I put the blue paper through my little ribbler gadget, and then wiped the Rich Cocoa ink pad over it to distress & pick up the texture. I punched the edge of the striped paper with my MS Doily punch, and distressed by going around the detail with my Burnt Sienna Promarker.

Other items used were;
Nestabilities,
Martha Stewart Doily punch,
FREE ticket sentiment found here.
paper flowers,
large pearl brad,
dewdrops,
paper twine.

I will enter this into the following challenges;

TOTALLY GORJUSS - thinking of you

CHARISMA CARDZ - for 'pink'

COLOUR CREATE - for WARM PINKS, CHOCOLATE and WHITE (I also added a splash of blue, I had to really because of the puddle lol!!)

PASSION FOR PROMARKERS - distressing

Thanks so much for peeking today!

I also put some of the kraft card through my ribbler and then wiped the white pigment ink pad over it. I layered all these up to create my card.

Hello!

Hi all! I'm still here...I know I haven't been around much this week though! I've not done much in the way of crafting this week. Had a lot to do around the house and have been feeling tired and yuk too. I have tried to visit all your blogs at some point during the week, but have not been online as much as usual. The PC seems to be running really slowly at the moment and using it is a chore. I'm secretly wishing for a sparkly new laptop for my Birthday next week but will make do with some nice choccies he he! Anyway,off to bed soon but I'll definitely have a card to show you in the morning. It's my turn to feature a card on the Squiggle Stamps's blog tomorrow, so I'll see you there!

PS. Don't forget about Mandy's sketch challenge we have over on the Pink Gem challenge blog, 'A Gem Of A Challenge'. There are Pink Gem stamps to be won, but you have to be in it to win it! You can enter using Janet's freebie digi image if you like. Just visit her blog to claim yours.

Bye For Now!

It's Chriiiiiiistmaaaaaaaas!........

It's Christmas!...or at least it is over at Fab'n'Funky Challenges. This week we want to see your Christmas creations.

For my Fab'n'Funky DT card I have used the sketch from this weeks Crafty Catz challenge.

The image is the really cute Waddle Francis digi stamp, who is included in DigiStamp Boutique's offer of the month.
I have coloured him with Promarkers and sprayed him with Crafter's Companion Silver Glitter spray. It's so lovely and sparkly, I think I will get through a lot of this on my Christmas cards this year. It's a pitty the sparkle doesn't show so well on my picture.

Other items used are;
Gemstones cardstock,
Cuttlebug snowflake folder,
X cut snowflake punch,
Nestabilities,
White Signo gel pen,
Card candy & Ribbon.

Sorry I've been neglecting blogging and visiting all of your lovely blogs recently. I have been busy catching up on stuff around the home ready for when the Children break up from school next week. Plus there is a lot going on at school with it being the end of year. When I did have a bit of free time at the weekend my internet was playing up and I couldn't get online! We keep saying were going to change providers and go with Sky instead, but we never seem to get around to it.

Thanks for stopping by and your comments mean so much to me!
Please check out the challenge if you can!
Bye for now!

Good Morning all! The time has come for me to present my first DT project over on the Squiggles Stamps blog. I will have a regular spot on their blog every Saturday, and hope you will join me.

I hope you will hop on over there to see more details on my card, and maybe you would be kind enough to leave me a quick comment?...

Blowing Bubbles...

When I first saw the new Papermania Nostalgia images by John Byars, I thought they were so gorgeous and fell in love with them. But I thought they were just available as decoupage, so that was the end of that, as I don't really use decoupage....I like to to colour the images myself. So you can imagine how thrilled I was to stumble across the stamps online.
I ordered this one called Blowing Bubbles from Cutting Edge Crafts. It was less than the rrp, and free delivery too! It turned up a day later (yesterday), and I inked up this little chap last night. Though I am trying to be good, I couldn't resist and have ordered another 3 images, (kite, rainy day & football) I hope they arrive in the morning!
I stamped him in Memento rich cocoa, and coloured him with Promarkers.
Papers are DCWV - Garden Party
The ticket sentiment was a digi freebie from here.
I also used;
Kraft card,
X cut scallop punch,
ribbon,
crochet flower,
pearls

I will enter this into;

My time to craft challenge - angelic

Cute Card Thursday - schools out for summer (my little ones always get through lots of bubble mix in the summer...infact my 2yr old has just had a new bubble blowing water gun lol!)

Well that's all folks!

But before I go I will just tell you what's happening tomorrow. As you may/may not know, I am lucky enough to have been given a place on the Squiggle Stamps Design Team. As a DT member I will be posting on the Squiggles Blog every SATURDAY, and sharing a Squiggle creation with you. Tomorrow I present my first Squiggle creation as a DT member and hope you will join me over on the Squiggles Blog.
Maybe you would be kind enough to leave me a quick comment over there, or even become a follower so you don't miss my postings. At least then I'll know I'm not talking to myself lol! Hope to see you over there!

Thanks for stopping by!
Goodnight...Jennyxx

Cocktail Anyone?...

Hi all! Today my card is based on the sketch over at the Whiff Of Joy Challenge Blog.
I also made this with the I Love Promarkers challenge of 'distressing' in mind.

I have used the lovely 'Cocktail Willow' stamp from the new 'City Girls' collection over at the Whiff of Joy shop. I coloured her with Promarkers.
The lovely digital papers, which have quite a distressed feel to them, were a freebie from the Zoe Pearne website.
I added Tan Promarker around all edges to add to the distressed feel.

I cut the flowers using my Sizzix sizzlits layered flowers dies. Again I went around the edges with Tan Promarker and distressed them a little more by curling them.
Other items used were;
X cut scallop punch,
Doodlebug ribbon & lace,
Red Dew Drops,
Woodware Tiny Phrases sentiment stamp,
Inverted corner rounder.

I *might* be back with another card later...it's been quite a productive week!
Thanks for stopping by!

This month there are going to be extra chances to win. It's Mandy's Birthday, so she is being really kind and throwing a few extra prizes herself! (All details here) There will also be the chance to win a 'Top 5' blinkie awarded to our 5 favourites. You don't even have to use a Pink Gem Designs image if you don't want to....so please join in!

For my DT card I have used this oh so cute Pink Gem Designs 'Baby Boy In Pram' stamp. You can find him here.

I have coloured him with Promarkers, Paper pieced and decoupaged him. Then added pearls to finish.

The papers I have used are DCWV Nana'a Nursery (Boy's Collection).

For the inside of my card, I have used the just as cute 'Oh Boy' stamp. You can find him here.

I bought these baby stamps before Janet kindly asked me to join the DT. Not because I had any baby cards to make, but just because I HAD to have them! They are so cute and a joy to use.

Please join in with the challenge this month if you can!
