Fab'n'Funky Challenge #66 - "Shabby Chic"...

Hi everyone! A mega quick post from me today, to let you know about our latest challenge over at Fab'n'Funky....

"Shabby Chic"

We would love to see your Shabby Chic inspired projects this week. Please do not think that everything shabby chic has to be old . . why not try and add a modern twist to it. Here is what I made of this weeks theme:

The butterfly stamp I think is Elusive Images. I've had it for a very long time, many years infact! I used Copics to colour it, and sprayed it with Crafters Companion glitter spray.

I also used;

DCWV Mariposa papers,

Vintage Core'dinations,

Joy Craft Daisy dies,

Martha Stewart butterfly deep edger punch,

The text is made up from 2 Anna Griffin stamps.

As always, lots more DT inspiration to be found over on the challenge blog.

Many thanks for stopping by!

Feels like ages since I posted or had chance to visit your blogs. Not much crafting for me lately! A busy week rounded off with my youngest daughter having a tummy bug yesterday...say no more!

Anyway, without further chatter, here is my latest Squiggle Stamps DT Card. I have used the 'Stamp Of The Month' digi, ''Hoppy Easter'', yours for just £1 this month, HERE. I used Promarkers to colour.

I also used;
Forever Friends Pink Parfait papers,
Craftwork Cards 'Petal Point on the edge' card blank,
Eyelets,
Scraps of ribbon,
Marianne D corner die,
Gemstones cardstock,
Paper flowers,
Card Candy,
Whimsy Stamps ticket sentiment.

This would also fit our Squiggle Stamps Spring challenge HERE, where you could win a £30 Squiggles voucher!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope to be a better blogger soon!

I will be offering a candy draw soon to make up for it, and to celebrate reaching 300 followers!

A Gem Of A Challenge 17 ~ My Theme, "Anything But Square"...

Hi all!
Time for a new challenge over at A Gem Of A Challenge!
First of all I would like to thank those who had a go with my sketch for the last challenge. There were some brilliant entries and I found it really hard to pick my 'top 3'. The winners are listed on the challenge blog.

So for my next challenge of the month, I have a theme for you...

'Anything But Square'

Though I do love square cards, I think we can sometime forget to have dabble with something different.

My little Nephew is 7 tomorrow, so here is the card I've made for him.

I used the fabulous 'Skateboard Andy' stamp from Pink Gem Designs. You can also get him as part of a great value A7 set here.
For a change I stamped onto linen textured card. I used my Copics to colour. You can't blend the colours as well as you can when using smooth card, and the colours come out a little darker, but I do like the canvas effect finish.

The 'Special Day Calender' stamp is also PGD, here.

The stripy paper is a Pink Gem Designs download here.

I also used;
Papermania kraft card blank,
Go Kreate dies,
Martha Stewart zig zag punch,
Creative Expression Brick embossing folder,
Circle nesties,
Curly font printed on pc,
Ribbon,
Making Memories clip.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

We are at my Nephews party this evening, so I'll have to catch up with you all when I can.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fab'n'Funky Challenge #64 - "All Things Green Or Happy St.Paddy's Day"...

Hi all!

Hope you're having a good week? I'm chasing my tail again as always, so I'll make it snappy!

Just need to let you know about this weeks challenge over at Fab'n'Funky.

This week you have 2 themes to choose from although you could say they are both linked by the colour Green. We would therefore either like to see a St. Patricks's themed project (St. Paddy) or alternatively for you to use green as your main colour choice in your project.

Please check the challenge blog for this weeks sponsor and prize...and loads more DT inspiration!

For my DT card, I've used the lovely Ellie & Snowdrops Stamp from Pink Gem Designs. I used Copics to colour her.

The beautiful Mother sentiment stamp is also by Pink Gem Designs, and is part of a brand new A6 set called 'Heartfelt Rounds'.

There are lots more new additions to the store right HERE.

I also used;

Prima paper,

Woodware flowers,

Paper roses,

Go Kreate frilly dies,

MS deep edger butterfly punch,

Marianne D corner dies,

Pearls,

Ric-rac.

Right, off I dash! Thanks so much for stopping by. I should have an hour to catch up with you all tonight!

Playing With Pampered Pets...

Hi all. Hope you've had a good weekend?
I just had enough free time today to have a little play with some of the new Papermania 'Pampered Pets' range. I am loving the colours and patterns of the papers.

I stamped the cute little poodle onto white Papermania textured capsule card twice using brown ink. I then decoupaged her, and added a little paper piecing too. Just a splash of colour with my Copics.
I added Papermania adhesive pearls to give a 3D effect to the necklace.

The Mother's Day stamp is also Papermania.
The ribbon is Doodlebug and I used my X Cut border punch,
...and that's about it!

Apologies for the quick post, but there are chores to be done before I can put my feet up.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh Wow...

Hi all!
Just a quickie to share my news with you. Late last night I had an email from my lovely pal Suzanne to let me know I am in the latest DoCrafts mag (page 47) with a Henbury Lane Teacups card I made a while back. I was shocked to say the least!
She kindly sent me this pic whilst I wait for my copy in the post.
My original post feat. this card can be found here.
Thanks Suzanne!

Bye for now.....Jenny xx

Sugar Bowl Challenge 55 ~ Erika’s Sketch....

Hi all!
Many thanks for all your comments on yesterday's card, and for the Birthday wishes for Ben.
Hello too, to my new followers - sending you a big 'mmwahh!'
I promise to have a good old catch up with you all over the next couple of days.
I just wanted to get this card finished today though, before I make a start on some DT work. It's been laying on my desk half assembled for the past few days.
By pure chance, once I had added the extra green ribbon, it happens to fit the latest sketch challenge over at the Sugar Bowl - Erika's Sketch, with the option of 'Spring'.

I have used 'Hope' from the Simply Adorables's range. I just luuuuurve colouring these images so much! I used my Copics.

The gorgeous, scrummy papers are Prima 'Melody'.

I also used;
Nestabilities - (Lacy and Eyelet) both from Pink Gem Designs.
The fab sentiment stamp is also Pink Gem Designs.
I used a Making Memories pebble clip to fix the sentiment on.
A sqaure doily,
Flowers - (Prima & Crafty Emma)
EK Success Pine branch punch,
Marianne D ribbon die,
Ribbons,
Pearls.

Right, off I pop to link this up.
Bye for now....thanks for stopping by!

Fab'n'Funky Challenge #63 - "Make It Girly!"...

As promised, I'm back with my Fab'n'Funky DT card.

This week we want you to.....

"Make it Girly!"

So let's see all your girly images and papers on full display this week. Don't forget (as it was pointed out by some of the older DT members) that girly can also be womanly too!

We are lucky enough to be sponsored by Pink Cat Studio this time. Some of the DT have used their fab images. Please take a peek at the challenge blog.

Due to lack of time though, I opted for a Sugar Nellie image I'd already coloured earlier. (In the words of Blue Peter, 'here's one I made earlier'- lol!)
This little beauty is called 'Joy', who certainly was a joy to colour with my Copics.

The 'Madeline' papers, some of the flowers and the pretty paper butterfly are all 'Prima'. (I have a slight 'all things Prima' addiction at the moment - lol!)

I also used;
Go Kreate dies - frilly #5,
Sizzlits swirly die,
More flowers (Crafty Emma's)
Dew drops,
Charm,
Seam binding,
Vintage core'dinations,
Freebie ticket sentiment from HERE,
Distress Stickles - fired brick,
Pearl brad.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope to catch up with you all really soon!

AWOL...

Hi all!
After a few days of being AWOL, I'm back!
I've had a mad few days, with my lovely little Ben turning 3! Where does time go?...
My Mum had a little party for him, and he had a lovely Toy Story cake, as you can see above.
Then my MIL came over for the day, and then out for a meal.

Lot's of lovely new toys to play with, and we currently have a Disney Cars tent erected in our living room. I might sneak in there later to try and get some some crafting done lol!

Anyway, I'll be back later with my DT card for this weeks Fab'n'Funky challenge. (just need to edit and watermark the rest of my pics)

I will also have a serious catch up with commenting on your blogs asap! Looks like I'm going to get finger ache!

Bye for now...

A Gem Of A Challenge 16 ~ My Sketch!...

Hello all!
Hope you've had a good week?...Sorry I've been a little quiet this week. It's been one of those weeks!
Sometimes I wish I could click my fingers, freeze time, and then put my family in a cupboard for a few hours/days/weeks(lol)!! whilst I caught up with everything, had a lovely long relaxing bath, made cards at leisure whilst watching something other than Sponge Bob Square Pants, made myself a tasty, healthy meal (rather that hastily shoving discarded fish fingers in my mouth whislt wiping beans from the floor/wall/ceiling!!)....you get the picture?..
I love 'em all dearly though and wouldn't be without them! x

So onto our brand new challenge over at 'A Gem Of A Challenge'.
I'm very excited, as this time it's my sketch to follow....

The others ladies have all done a wonderful job (please take a look).
I decided to use my 'Chloe In The Rain' stamp from Pink Gem Designs. I stamped her in Cocoa Memento ink onto smooth ivory card, and coloured her using my Copics.

Other Ingredients;

Go Kreate dies - flilly frames #5,
Martha Stewart deep edge garden gate punch,
Sizzix Sizzlits decorative strip (for the swirly leaves),
X cut leaf punch,
Craft Concepts 'in stitches' embossing folder,
Prima Madeline paper,
Prima butterfly,
Whimsy ticket sentiment stamp,
Paper flowers,
Buttons,
Flat backed pearls,
White gel pen.

Can't wait to see what you all make, and pick my top 3!

This card also fits our weekly challenge over at Fab'n'Funky, which is 'Spring into action'.
I haven't had time to join in with the rest of the DT this week, but please pop over there and have a look at what they've been up to.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a good weekend....
