The Sugar Bowl 98 ~ Fi's Sketch...

Hi all. Are you having a good week?  If like me you're probably rushing around like crazy people trying to get organised for the big day.  It doesn't help with all the germs and bugs the kids keep picking up from school, resulting in days home!

Anyway, we have a new challenge for you over at The Sugar Bowl. The last one of 2012. This time our lovely Fiona has a sketch for you to follow;
With an optional theme of 'Let It Snow'.

Unfortunately I couldn't follow the theme this time as I had a special Birthday card I needed to make.
I used 'In The Garden' available here.
I coloured it with my Copics.

The papers are Fancy Pants 'Summer's End' and the ticket sentiments are by 'Whimsy Stamps'

Please join us if you can.....4 Sugar Nellie stamps for the lucky winner.

I'm off to continue with my rushing around.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

A Christmas Birthday....

Hi all! Can't believe the big day is only a couple of weeks away. Where dis the last month go?
Today I'm sharing a card I've been asked to make for someone. I would have blogged it earlier in the week, but my youngest has been off school poorly with a cold and very bad earache. It's been keeping him (and us!) awake at night. He's been screaming the house down!

I used this cool image from the 'Tia & Rufus Collection' over at DigiStamp Boutique. These are also discounted right now!

Have you checked out the new range of digital papers available over at DigiStamp Boutique yet?
I used various ones on my creation today. I love how vibrant they print out. They are a bargain price too!

Other Ingredients;
Copic Markers,
Stickles Star Dust,
EK Success Border Punch - Apron Lace,
Kraft Card,
Bias Binding,
PC Generated Sentiment,
Nesties,
Marianne Design Holly Die,
Various Blooms,
Gems,
Button & Twine.

Hope you like?

Hope you'll join us......we have four Sugar Nellie stamps for one lucky winner!

As always the sweet Sugar Nellie stamp can be found over at Funky Kits.

I used my Copics to colour, Bo Bunny 'Snow Day' Papers, and the gorgeous holly die is by Marianne Designs.

I'm Going Dotty!

Hi all. Hope you're having a good week? I feel a little lost. My 10yr old daughter has gone away with the school for the week. It was very emotional  waving her off on the bus Monday morning. They don't even get to phone home all week...boo hoo!!

On Thursday though, me & hubby will be off to Nottingham to see Alanis Morissette live in concert (very excited!) so that should take my mind off things a little.

So, on with today's DT card. I'm just loving the new range of digi papers over at DigiStamp Boutique. As you can see I've been going crazy printing the Dotty Christmas ones out and having a play.

I also used an 'offer of the month' set called Winter Rosie
I layered her straight onto the patterned paper in Serif 'Page Plus'.

Other Ingredients;
Copics,
Memory Box Snowflake Corner Die,
Spellbinders Create a Flake dies,
Bias Binding & Gems.

You can check out all the new designs over at DigiStamp Boutique HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Don't Mention The 'C' Word!

Hi all. With Christmas only 5 weeks away, I hope you're more organised than me. I have so many cards to make...oh dear....where does time go?

Well, here's another one done.....and also a DT card for DigiStamp Boutique.

I used a super cute image from one of the 'Offers Of The Month' called Cute Reindeer Set

* Offer of the month - Cute reindeer set

I also used a fab sentiment from the Simply Christmas A4 Greetings. I made it into a little tag.

The beautiful subtle blue spotty paper will be available soon over at DigiStamp Boutique along with other colours and designs.  I love to layer my digis up directly over patterned papers in 'Page Plus' (free to download here). I then colour the image with my markers. Subtle backing papers are perfect for this, as your image can get 'lost' into busy backgrounds.

Other bits I used today;
Copics,
Kraft & Dark Brown Card,
Ribbon from my stash,
Scalloped Nesties,
Jump Rings & Eyelet.

Hope you like.....thanks so much for popping by!

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 96 (and a new arrival!)...

Hi all. Sorry it's been a while again since my last post, but been a little busy this week having cuddles with my new baby Niece, Phoebe (as you can see from the pic above).
My Sister ended up having her on Sunday....Remembrance Day.

I coloured her with my Copics.

The papers are First Edition "Family Ties".

Back hopefully soon with some DigiStamp Boutique Christmas makes. In the meantime though please check out all the latest arrivals new to the store HERE.

The Sugar Bowl 94 ~ My Sketch!

Hi all!
Many thanks for your recent visits and comments. I really do appreciate it...although I do apologise that I haven't had time to visit your blogs for while. Life has been a bit hectic to say the least! I haven't had that much time to be creative either. I have new unopened stash gathering dust just waiting to be played with. I've had to rethink my crafty commitments, and sadly stepped down from the Pink Gem Designs DT last week to ease the pressure a bit. Very sad as Pink Gem was my first DT and I've been with them almost as long as I've had my blog. But good news for you, this means a DT call is now under way, You can enter HERE.

So I'm here today to tell you about the latest challenge over at the Sugar Bowl, a sketch by me!.....
(with an optional theme of  WET,WET,WET!)

I decided to use my Sugar Nellie Aqua Marina Stamp available @  Funky Kits,
I stamped her with Memento Grey Flannel ink, & coloured her with my Copic Markers. I also paper pieced her tail.

Other Ingredients;
First Edition Papers,
Tied Together Embossing Folder,
Memory Box Loopy Rings Die,
Spellbinders Lacy Oval Die,
Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch,
Craftwork Cards Sentiment,
Adhesive Pearls,
Stickles Stardust.

Don't forget to see what the rest of the team have been up to. Gorgeous creations as always.
Please join us if you can. 4 Sugar Nellie stamps for the lucky winner!

Thanks for visiting today,

Hi everyone. A new challenge starts today over at The Sugar Bowl. where our lovely Maria has a great sketch for you to follow, with an optional theme of Autumn...

MMMMTSKETCH93

I have used this sweet image from the Autumn kit available over at Funky Kits. Four super sweet characters included, and some useful extra images such as the leaf I used to stamp around the edges with. All my stamping has been done in Memento Toffee Crunch ink, as I wanted a softer finish without the harsh outlines.
I used my Copics to colour.

Spellbinders Labels 8, and Decorative lables 8,
Kort & Godt Paper Swirly Flowers ,
Doo Hickey Die - Heart Swirl,

A Gem Of A Challenge 56...

Hi all. Long time no blog, but over the last couple of weeks had two children off school with sickness, one with a poorly eye, then hubby home with 'man flu' (who kindly passed his germs on to me!) To top it off, just when the central heating is required after the summer (if you can call it that!) I find it no blinkin worky!! Got a man coming out to me this week. Just glad it's not too cold just yet.
We also had a broken washing machine when the children were off with sickness, but thankfully that's all sorted now. They say it happens in three's so just dreading another household appliance going wrong....

So no crafting or blogging time for me over the past couple of weeks unfortunately. However, normal service will hopefully resume this week (fingers crossed that nothing else happens!)

Anyway, a new challenge started this weekend over at  A GEM OF  A CHALLENGE;
Wendy's Theme - "ONE FOR THE GIRLS!"

Please do pop over and see the fabulous DT makes by team 1. My card will be along next week with the rest of team 2. Hope you'll find time to join us this fortnight. There are some fab new digis out now over at Pink Gem Designs.

Thanks so much for popping by, and hopefully something to show you really soon :-)

Overdue!!...

 ....my card's overdue that is....not my pregnant Sister who I made it for. She still has another few weeks to go yet.

I thought this fab DigiStamp Boutique image 'Blooming Lulabelle' would be very apt for her Birthday card as seen as she's seven months gone..

I made it weeks ago and should have blogged it sooner....but with  my Brother being in hospital, the hospital visits, not to mention the worry, I haven't been blogging much of anything.....or commenting (sorry!) I'll give you a full update on my Brother at the end of my post.

I coloured Lulabelle using my Copics.

Papers; My Mind's Eye - Dwell

Other Ingredients;
Lacey Oval Nesties from Pink Gem Designs,
X Cut Scallop Punch,
Corrugated Card,
Bias Binding,
LOTV sentiment tag stamp,
Papermania Relations Sentiment Stamps,
Craftwork Cards Sentiment,
Various blooms & Shimmer Dots.

Anyway, many thanks for all the kind well wishes regarding my Brother. As I explained just over a week ago, he was rushed to hospital after collapsing, and had to be resuscitated after stopping breathing! He was then in intensive care in an induced coma on a ventilator. We were lead to believe a possible heart problem may have caused his collapse. When he regained consciousness it was discovered he had Pneumonia! So he was put on intravenous antibiotics for a few days in hospital before being discharged into the care of our parents. So he's had to move in with them for a bit...he's still quite unwell.
He will be followed up regarding the possible heart problems. He's only 34!

Meanwhile my little man has a nasty sick bug (yuk!) he's only done one full week in his new reception class and has managed to pick something up! I just hope the others don't get it.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
